BiblioBouts Setup Instructions

To play BiblioBouts, you need to install Firefox (a free web browser) and Zotero (a free citation management tool).

Step 1 of 2: Install

1. Install Firefox (www.getfirefox.net). Firefox is a free web browser, and there are versions available for all major operating systems.
2. Install Zotero (www.zotero.org) in the Firefox browser. Zotero is a free citation management tool. If you get a pop-up message in Firefox, click "Allow" then click "Install now." In Firefox, select Tools/Options/Advanced tab, and check the checkboxes for "Installed Add-ons" and "Automatically download and install update." After installing Zotero, you will need to restart your computer.
   
   Zotero will now appear as an icon () in the lower right corner of your Firefox browser. (If it does not appear, be sure that "Status Bar" is checked on the "View" menu in Firefox.) Click on the icon to open the Zotero pane. To close Zotero, click on the "X" icon in the Zotero toolbar (Firefox will remain open).
   
   
   In Zotero, click on the "Actions" menu in the Zotero toolbar, select Preferences/General tab, and be sure that the check box for "Automatically attach associated PDFs" is checked. Then close the Preferences tab.
